Alastair qualified as a pharmacist in 1994 and worked in community pharmacies in Shropshire for 8 years. Alastair joined the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee in November 2002 as Head of NHS Services, with policy responsibility for the development, negotiation and implementation of new national NHS community pharmacy services for England. He is a member of the contract Negotiating Team and takes the lead on the professional aspects of the pharmacy contract development and negotiation. Alastair is also responsible for managing PSNC’s external communications and parliamentary influencing programme.
