Brian Deal qualified from The Square in 1984. After completing pre-reg in 1985 he immediately purchased two pharmacies, the last of which he ran till 1999. Over the next 20 months he built up his locum experience around the U.K. He bought Ashwell Pharmacy in 2001 and has continued to develop the clinical and business side of the pharmacy, year-on-year.
In 2007 he won the Best Practice Award at the prestigious Pharmacy Business Awards and has also been chosen as Advocate of The Year 2010 by The Independent Community Pharmacy awards.
He undertakes undergraduate pharmacy student training at the pharmacy and is a part-time lecturer, on a consultancy basis, at Herts University School of Pharmacy. He also works in a variety of media roles including trade, local and national press as well as radio.
