Green Cross Consulting Limited launched in autumn 2007 as a specialist consultancy business dedicated to serving the pharmacy, healthcare and property sectors. Holding a unique position within these sectors in terms of expertise and range of services, Green Cross offers clients a "one stop shop" approach to maximising the value of their pharmacy business or healthcare development from the point of start-up, through any desired expansion, and onwards to an eventual sale if required. Managing Director, Duncan Costin, has worked in the pharmacy, healthcare, property and finance sectors, predominantly with blue chip companies such as Boots the Chemists and Co-op Healthcare, since 1988. Most recently Duncan worked for United Co-operatives as Acquisition & Development Manager, sitting on the Healthcare Division Executive Management Team with responsibility for all aspects of business acquisitions and disposals, healthcare property development, pharmacy location strategy and NHS Contract application issues. His key achievement was implementing the Co-op Healthcare retail pharmacy expansion programme where he was instrumental in doubling the size of the retail pharmacy division from 125 branches to 250 branches in just two and a half years, handling deals from £500k to well in excess of £50m value.
Director Steve Brooker, has worked in the retail pharmacy and property sectors since 1994; firstly with Boots the Chemists and then with Co-op Healthcare. Steve initially held various accountancy roles within Boots the Chemists before moving into property finance and management. He joined the Healthcare division in 2001 as NHS Contracts Manager responsible for NHS contract issues and co-ordination of lobbying and application strategy regarding the regulations change of 2005. More recently Steve worked for the Co-operative Group Acquisition & Development Team as NHS Contracts Manager with responsibility for all Pharmaceutical Services regulations issues, and also for identifying and implementing value maximising strategic opportunities for the retail branches as part of the Portfolio Development team. Steve has represented in over 1600 NHS Contract application and objection cases for blue chip companies since 2001, making him one of the most experienced contract experts in the sector.
