NPA Unveils Show Programme
Community pharmacy is set for a steep change due to NHS reforms and we need to make sure that pharmacy is ready and equipped to deal with the future. NPA sessions at the Pharmacy Show reflect the wide scope of the change challenge and are highly practical. The NPA’s Local Government and Partnership Working session outlines the emerging duties of local authorities and explains how delegates can overcome obstacles to deliver services that improve public health and help people live independently in the community. The New Medicine Service is a strategically significant service for the sector. Our Clinical Forum session will give tips for delivery and explain how the NPA can give assistance and guidance. We encourage delegates to think about service development in our Patient Services Forum session, by focusing on implementing private vaccination services. The change challenge can only be met if the strength of the whole pharmacy team is brought to bear on it. Our Skills and Development Forum session gives an overview of the Pre-registration Trainee programme and explains how this can support skill mix and development. Finally, our Business Accelerator session will focus on the impact GPhC has had on community pharmacy insurance. Presenters will also explain professional indemnity, public liability and legal defence and its interface with the GPhC.
