Pharmacy Show Offers FREE CPD Record Aids on more than 30 Hours of Conference Education
Pharmacists and Technicians will be able to create instant online CPD records for each conference session they attend at the Pharmacy Show.
Show organisers Closerstill Media Healthcare has formed a partnership with pharmacy education and training company Mediapharm to create a Pharmacy Show online CPD centre – CPD EASY -- to which Pharmacy Show attendees will have exclusive access.
This week the new rules announced by pharmacy regulator, The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), means that all pharmacists and technicians will have to file their CPD records online and the Pharmacy Show CPD Record Aids will make this task easier.
The Pharmacy Show offers pharmacists and technicians the chance to turn their attendance into invaluable CPD records in an easy and hassle free way. With more than 30 hours of free education content across five, two-day conferences, pharmacists and technicians can more than meet their 9-a-year CPD record requirements. Each conference session and workshop is pre-reviewed by by a team of pharmacists to make sure they include all the CPD elements required.
The CPD record aids and the conference presentations will be available exclusively to attendees immediately after the show. The record aids can be edited and then used to make CPD records at the GPhC site.
Paul Lowndes managing director at Mediapharm says: “This partnership is all about helping pharmacists and technicians unlock their true potential. Continuing professional development and service delivery is the answer and we are helping them on this journey by making the show CPD easy and accessible.”
Pharmacy Show director Michael Westcott added: “We offer the largest, live source of CPD education to pharmacists and technicians. Pharmacists and employers are increasingly concerned about the new regulations and the requirement to keep CPD logs up-to-date.
“One look at our education offering and it is clear that many pharmacists have worked out that they could record most of their require nine CPD episodes simply by attending the education sessions at the show and downloading the CPD record aids afterwards and adding it to their logs online at the GPhC,” Westcott added.
Steve Howard, Superintendent Pharmacist at Lloydspharmacy, commented: “Keeping on top of CPD is a major concern for pharmacists – and so this initiative from the Pharmacy Show is going to be very welcome. I can see why so many pharmacists will want to take advantage of this opportunity and the quality of the education on offer at the show.”
