Kate Shakeshaft

Kate qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1990 and a Family Planning nurse in 1995, recently accepted as an Associate Member of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. Kate has always been committed to the promotion of sexual health and for the right of young people to have a "Sex: Positive experience. Kate joined Brook in Birmingham in 1995.

Currently Kate is the Lead Nurse at Brook Birmingham.  She is experienced in the provision of all methods of contraception, the development and implementation of outreach services. Kate was involved with the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) development of some international recommendations on sexual and reproductive rights.
