Scott Barrett, Senior Clinical Pharmacist – General Surgery, Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust
Graduated from University of Sunderland in 2003. Developed his career as a clinical pharmacist in two leading hospitals in the North East. Undertook pre-registration qualification at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead and was awarded the Pfizer award for best pre-registration project.
Worked as a rotational band 6 pharmacist for 2 years. As a band 7 specialist pharmacist formed part of an initiative between the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead Primary Care Trust and 2 GP surgeries. In 2008 moved to Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust as band 8 Senior Clinical Pharmacist for general surgery.
Completed post graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Has qualified as an independent prescribing pharmacist.
Is a long suffering Newcastle United supporter.
