65 Hours of FREE CPD Education and Training

The Pharmacy Show this year is offering two-days of comprehensive, FREE CPD education.

There are SIX education programmes in total, featuring more than 65 hours of insightful and practical seminars and workshop programmes across all the key issues which will help both community and hospital pharmacists run better, more profitable pharmacy businesses and establishments.

New for 2011 includes the Clinical Forum with content for both hospital pharmacists and community pharmacists looking to improve their clinical knowledge in major disease areas.

The Pharmacy Show has collaborated with a number of education partners to put this year's conference programme together, including The National Pharmacy Association, the PSNC, the PDA and The Institute of Pharmacy Management. 

The Keynote Conference 
Leading figures from major multiples will share their strategies for the future, while key policy makers will tell you what lies ahead for community pharmacy. Experts will share their tactics for the issues that affect you, from commissioning to developing profitable partnerships with PCTs and GPs.

The Clinical Forum - NEW!
This forum will deliver a world-class clinical programme for both community and hospital pharmacists covering oncology, cardiology, respiratory medicine, renal, mental health and sexual health disease areas.

There will also be unique sessions including: anti-coagulation update, medicines management service commissioning, and oral chemo in the community. The Clinical Forum compliments the Patient Services Forum held concurrently which this year will focus on the New Medicine Service (NMS), MURs and other new commissioned and private services in community pharmacy.

The Patient Services Forum
Services will transform the community pharmacy business model. Aimed at pharmacy owners and management, this forum will focus on the New Medicine Service (NMS), MURs and other new commissioned and private services in community pharmacy.

The OTC Academy
This conference stream offers training modules for counter assistants and technicians looking to improve their knowledge in different therapy areas and to help them offer patients better advice on OTC medicines and retail products.

Skills and Development Forum
On-going training is a key requirement for successful pharmacy businesses. A series of training seminars from specialist education providers and trainers on key community pharmacy function areas focussed on development of broadening the skill sets of pharmacy professionals.

Pharmacy Business Accelerator 
These compelling sessions cover the key challenges faced by pharmacies seeking to improve their business performance and increase profitability in these challenging times. The hand-picked speakers are all proven experts and plan to offer the kind of practical advice and tips that can be put into practice right away.
