The role of community pharmacy in supporting parents who have lost babies
At a parent panel for the Department of Health National Baby Loss review, the most common feedback from parents was the lack of pain relief and the difference that kindness made to their recovery. Community pharmacy remains the most accessible health service in this country and is staffed with experts on pain relief and a group of people widely considered to be experts in kindness. However, community pharmacy is not thought of as an area that these parents would turn to for support. This presentation explore how community pharmacy teams can support those experiencing or who have experienced baby loss.
