Inclusive and person-centred language learning resources

This session supports participants to use inclusive, bias-free language when interacting with people from diverse communities. Activities will help participants recognise and avoid words and phrases that may reinforce stereotypes, exclude or patronise certain groups or cause discomfort or offence. Top tips for describing age, disability, health conditions and ethnicity will be explored and a quiz will help participants test their understanding.  Signposting to learning resources will support continued development in cultural competence.
