In 2021, AmerisourceBergen Corporation acquired Alliance Healthcare, marking the beginning of a significant new chapter for our organisation. Now, as we rebrand, it is the perfect moment to reflect on this transformation and consider what lies ahead.
Becoming part of a global healthcare leader has brought us access to international expertise and best practices. Over the past year, our team – led by our newly created Customer Experience Director, have spent more time listening to our customers than ever before, conducting focus groups and interviews to understand their experiences of working with us. This feedback has shaped how we operate. For example, we’ve upgraded our customer portals: myahportal and MyAlliancePro, improving case management and making it easier for customers to contact our team. These changes are just the start of what’s to come as we continue to put customer needs at the heart of our decision-making.
Our new scale allows us to combine Cencora’s global experience and investment with Alliance Healthcare’s deep local knowledge. Looking ahead, we will introduce advanced digital systems capable of forecasting demand further into the future. An enhanced footprint, equipped with state-of-the-art automation will improve how we deliver for our customers, and we will continue to refine and improve on our customer experience strategy.
As the NHS increasingly relies on community pharmacies to support the transition from hospital to community care, aligned with the 10 - Year Health Plan for England, our pharmacy customers can expect more from us. We are evolving to ensure we meet these growing demands and continue to provide the highest standards of service.
Our rebrand reflects the deeper alignment of our organisations and the cooperation it represents. We are committed to investing in our partnerships and enabling community pharmacies to deliver healthier futures for their patients. This is not just a change in name but a renewed promise to support our customers and the communities they serve.
