PMA is a leading provider of training, education, and workforce development for primary care and the wider health and care system. Our comprehensive offer includes pharmacy-focused workshops, apprenticeships, conferences, and eLearning, all designed to support the evolving needs of the NHS workforce, including community and primary care teams.

Today, we would like to share insights from one of our workshop programmes.

Our CQC Fundamentals for Pharmacists and Clinical Leads training session has been developed to empower healthcare professionals with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to meet and exceed the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.

For pharmacists and clinical leads, understanding Care Quality Commission (CQC) expectations and demonstrating safe, effective practice is an important part of delivering quality patient care.

The online course provides a practical overview of:

  • CQC inspection searches

  • High risk medicine monitoring

  • Potential missed diagnosis

  • Acting on safety alerts

  • Other areas of medicines management

  • Population health / long term condition management

  • Medicine reviews

  • Non-medical prescribing

  • Patient consultations

  • Clinical supervision

  • Quality improvement

The workshop will provide practical examples alongside interactive learning, which enables participants to explore the key areas that contribute to successful medicines management and regulatory compliance.

Our workshops are designed to be flexible, with options for individual or customised packages to fit specific needs.

PMA is dedicated to empowering pharmacies and community healthcare providers, to increase profitability and ensure a more sustainable future for community healthcare.

Our workshops provide delegates with access to virtual training, which can be delivered in a convenient time window to meet your specific needs.
