Puffin Packaging Launches Innovative Healthcare Temperature-Controlled Box at The Pharmacy Show 2025

Building on years of expertise in high-performance insulated packaging, Puffin’s new Lunda Healthcare Range offers a sustainable alternative to existing temperature-controlled solutions as well as providing choice of tried and tested incumbent products available on the market. Designed specifically for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, the Lunda range delivers the reliability customers demand, while introducing a new level of environmental responsibility.
The launch at the Birmingham Pharmacy Show 2025 predominantly focuses on the sECO box – a versatile solution that keeps medications safely chilled at +2°C to +8°C or maintained at +8°C to +25°C. Fully biodegradable and with compostable elements, the sECO box is available in several sizes, lightweight and easy to transport, and competitively priced for widespread adoption.
The sECO box builds on Puffin’s proven track record of innovation. Since 2017, Puffin has pioneered the use of natural, high-performing insulators under the leadership of founder Yannis Archbold. This latest healthcare range has been developed in collaboration with Nick Geary, CCO of Lunda TempChain who brings over 20 years of industry expertise and a wealth of experience in temperature-controlled healthcare solutions. His involvement ensures that Puffin’s offering meets the stringent standards of the healthcare sector while giving customers confidence in its reliability. Additionally, Dr. William Turner, Puffin’s Head of Qualification and Testing, has played a key part in testing and ensuring qualification and quality of the sECO using Puffin’s suite of fully temperature mapped Temperature Controlled Chambers.
