FLOWRx InStore
)
FLOWRx InStore connects your pharmacy to your pharmacy hub and allows you to receive bagged medications efficiently with the ability to top up, if needed, in store.
This solution simplifies and speeds up the dispensing process, reduces workload, improves accuracy and helps pharmacists and pharmacy staff spend more time with patients.
Around 80% of medications for repeat prescriptions are typically fulfilled by a pharmacy hub. With FLOWRx InStore the remaining exceptions can be quickly topped up directly from local pharmacy shelves or fridges.
The process starts at the pharmacy store with orders processed as normal on the PMR. The pharmacist does the clinical and accuracy check up front before placing the order with the hub. The hub then processes the order and sends bagged and labeled medication back to the store in a tote box.
Here’s how receiving orders back to store works:
Receive: Once totes are received back in store the barcode on the tote is scanned and this displays all patient orders in that tote along with anything that might need to be picked locally(eg. controlled drugs or fridge items).
Bag: A pick list allows you to pick all local adds at once. Scan the pack barcode and the software prints a patient label followed by a bag label. This bag can now be placed with the patient's other medication from the hub.
Record: Log into your PMR and scan the PMR barcode on the bag label. This completes the order in the PMR and means the medication can now be dispensed.
