Principles & Practice for Pharmacy Techicians Level 3 Apprenticeship
What they'll learn
Our course will equip your apprentice with a range of KSBs including:
- Ensure that health and safety controls are embedded and working
- Prioritise time and resources effectively to achieve local and national objectives
- Understand the limits of their accountability, authority, and responsibility
- Understand how to safeguard people, particularly children and vulnerable adults
- Understands how to effectively manage a patient’s medicines by ordering, receiving, maintaining, and supplying those medicines and other pharmaceutical products
How long will it take?
Our Pharmacy Technician programme takes 24 months and a minimum of 30 contracted hours per week to finish the learning and completion of the 21 units of study required.
- 5 of those units assesses knowledge, and skills, these include face to face observations in the workplace.
- 16 knowledge only units to be assessed
Entry requirements
Woodspeen Training has rigorous entry criteria for people wanting to take this course. These include:
- GCSEs in English, Math’s, and Science (Biology/ Chemistry) grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent
- Level 2 English and Math’s Functional Skills
- Have been a resident in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years and be in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship
- Be able to meet the program modules through the job role
- Clear DBS check
- Character reference
- Self-declaration of health
Qualification
On completion of the program, your apprentice will be awarded with the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians. After 24 months your apprentice will be able to register with the GPhC.
