How can pharmacists positively impact quality of life for people with Parkinson’s?

07 Oct 2019
PUBLIC HEALTH & WELLBEING THEATRE
Parkinson’s is a degenerative and fluctuating neurological condition which affects around 145000 people across the UK. In this session, we will look at the symptoms of Parkinson’s and the issues people with Parkinson’s may need assistance with from pharmacy teams – who can provide advice and interventions which can help to improve symptoms and quality of life. Data from the Paydens Pharmacy Parkinson’s Medicines Use Review pilot project will be used for illustration, and information provided on education, resources and support available through the Parkinson’s Specialist Pharmacy Network and the UK Parkinson’s Excellence Network.
