This session will present information about how Health Education England (HEE) is supporting an exciting and innovative national project to transform pre-registration pharmacist training. Building upon learning from previous local models of placements, a national project is underway in which pre-registration pharmacists undertake an extended placement in a GP practice. The project aims to provide trainees with an understanding of how practices operate, and how pharmacy can play an integral role in patient care as well as helping to create a workforce with a broader skillset capable of working across healthcare the healthcare system.
