Focus on Dermatology in the Community Pharmacy

This session covers skin conditions, which are the most common minor ailments presented in the pharmacy. The presenters will show how the community pharmacist can use basic equipment to enhance their dermatology consultations. A case study will be used to demonstrate a skin examination, highlighting key dos and don'ts as well as signs and symptoms to look out for that might indicate infection. There will be tips for managing suspected infections including onward referral if required. There will also be suggested resources and some ideas for undertaking CPD in this important clinical area. ‚Äč
