Mahendra is a multi-award winning pharmacist of international standing with professorial roles in the USA and previously Malaysia. He has served as national board member and Treasurer for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, and as a Teaching Faculty Member at UNESCO. Mahendra’s work is based around health and health inequalities within marginalised and underserved communities. He became one of the first to gain a Fellowship from NICE and also International Fellowship from the Indian Pharmaceutical Society. Mahendra is one of the national leads for Covid-19 trials University of Oxford and now leads the newly formed Centre for Research Equity at Oxford. Mahendra was awarded an OBE for his work in pharmacy (2022) and has recently been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Bradford.
