Orla Macdonald is a Consultant pharmacist for Learning Disability based in Oxford. She has over 20 years experience as a specialist psychiatric and research pharmacist, and has published papers exploring prescribing trends of psychotropic medication in vulnerable groups, including those with a learning disability. Orla is involved with several national projects involving people with a learning disability, including projects led by NHSE and by the Health Innovation Network. She is a member of a national STOMP Community of Practice steering group and, along with other members of that group, is leading on developing best practice standards for completing medication reviews for those with a learning disability.
