Rahul Kamal Raj is a pharmacist and Pharmacy & Operations Manager at Pelican Pharmacy, an independent community pharmacy in Greater Manchester. A graduate of The University of Manchester, Rahul began his career in NHS hospital pharmacy before moving into community practice, where he combines frontline pharmacy experience with responsibility for the day-to-day operation and development of pharmacy services. His work focuses on how independent pharmacies can expand their clinical role, improve patient access to healthcare and develop sustainable services beyond the traditional dispensing model. With a particular interest in point-of-care diagnostics and preventative healthcare, Rahul is exploring how new diagnostic capabilities can be integrated safely and practically into community pharmacy. At The Pharmacy Show, Rahul will share his perspective as a practising pharmacist and operator, including the practical considerations behind introducing new clinical services and the opportunities they can create for patients and independent pharmacies.
