Samson Akere is a pharmacist and pharmacy owner with almost 10 years’ experience in community pharmacy. Since acquiring Totty Pharmacy in 2023, he has focused on developing a highly engaged, multi-skilled team and expanding the role of community pharmacy beyond its traditional setting. Through large-scale outreach programmes delivered across gyms, places of worship and community venues, his team has helped improve access to preventative healthcare for thousands of people. Samson is passionate about workforce development and has supported more than 30 student placements and work experience opportunities across secondary schools, colleges and universities. He is committed to creating opportunities for pharmacy teams to work confidently at the top of their licence while delivering meaningful benefits for both patients and the wider healthcare system.
