Sangeeta Singh qualified as a pharmacist in 2013 after completing a Masters in Pharmacy Degree at the University of Nottingham. Her area of specialty is in community pharmacy, in which she has held various different roles. The latest role has been as a Patient Safety and Experience Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Superintendent's Team of Well Pharmacy. Well Pharmacy is the third largest pharmacy chain in the UK with 760 pharmacies. In this role, she led Controlled Drugs Management across the pharmacies overseeing the audits, reporting and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders such as Accountable Officers and other community pharmacy organisations for cohesive improvements.
In this role, she managed relationships with Regional Operations Managers by heading monthly meetings to evaluate complaints and patient safety data to identify pharmacies requiring operational support. The role also required her expertise in systematically reviewing and writing standard operational procedures in Well to maintain clinical governance.
She also played a key role in investigating patient safety incidents, coaching teams to identify root causes of errors and disseminating learnings within the organisation and external stakeholders. Observing Duty of Candour, she liaised with patients and their families to communicate outcomes of investigations with reassurances of actions taken to minimise recurrence.
