Andrew is a pharmacist independent prescriber with 17 years’ experience as a community pharmacist at Peak Pharmacy. He has a passion for vaccination, travel health and positive outcomes for his patients.
He started his career at Peak Pharmacy holding a number of branch management positions before finally managing Peak Pharmacy Derby where he developed a successful private services business to supplement the branch NHS income. He developed pioneering influenza and travel health services alongside a popular private minor ailments clinic. Fast forward 12 years and Andrew is now, Head of Online retail and clinical lead for vaccinations and travel health at Peak Pharmacy and Travelpharm.com. Andrew holds a diploma in travel health from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and the Independent Prescriber qualification, from Keele University. These skills are used every day at his online clinic where he provides specialist malaria prevention and travel health advice for patients and businesses alike.
In addition to his main role, Andrew holds other notable positions, reviewing learning materials at the Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education (CPPE) and participating in advisory boards.
