Atif Shamim is the Pharmacy Dean for London, nationally leading on a number of workstreams regarding the implementation of the reform to the Intial Education and Training of Pharmacists, and the Foundation Trainee Pharmacist National Recruitment Scheme (commonly known as ORIEL), which places pharmacy trainees into foundation training posts across England and Wales. Regionally, Atif leads a team to deliver on strategic aims and workforce priorities, aligned to national programmes, and works closely with system leaders and stakeholders to deliver on workforce planning, development and transformation. Atif has experience across multiple areas of practice, including community pharmacy, secondary care and academia, and has an MBA in Leadership.
