Carl has worked within Health and Care for 20 years, specialising in the application of technology to enhance patient journeys for better care.
He has a highly technical foundation, fostered through many years working directly to support end users of healthcare products, as well as being an application deployment lead for national programmes of work (111 Telephony and NHS24 (Scotland)), for an industry leading software supplier.
For the last 10 years, his focus has been on product development and business analysis, establishing requirements for products, articulating these to stakeholder groups and ensuring benefits are realised. He has a keen interested in interoperability and held central roles in the development and delivery of several interoperability standards at NHS England, most recently BaRS (Booking and Referral Standard).
