As a Medicines Assurance Pharmacist within the Commercial Medicines Unit at NHS England, Ezabella leads on the operational management of nationally critical medicine shortages supporting patient safety within secondary care. She also manages ongoing supplier performance to ensure they are delivering value to the NHS, whilst strengthening their supply chain resilience strategies. Prior to this role, she worked as a Senior Medicines Supply Pharmacist at the Department of Health and Social Care and led on the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation plans for any risks to medicines supply identified including those relating to the end of the EU transition period and as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic . Ezabella is a clinical pharmacist by background having started her career as a hospital pharmacist working in hospitals within Kings Health Partners as part of the STEP programme.
