Jagjot is the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Clinical Fellow based at NHS England and NHS Improvement. Jagjot specialised in Clinical Haematology and has worked across traditional boundaries of primary and secondary care, with a particular focus on cardiovascular disease prevention. She was also a NICE guideline committee member for the update of Venous thromboembolism in over 16s: reducing the risk of hospital-acquired deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism. Jagjot holds a master’s degree in Business and Organisational Strategy and is a certified independent prescriber. During the fellowship year, Jagjot has been working on a number of projects such as capturing the national Out-Patient Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) landscape to inform the development of an OPAT commissioning policy, reviewing how pharmacy can support the growing model of virtual wards and evaluating Inclusive Pharmacy Practice (IPP) Pharmacy Advisory Group (PAG) working group interventions.
