Karen is a qualified Pharmacy Technician with experience in patient services, medicines management, and a passion for education and training. She has taught and assessed learners on pharmacy support staff and pharmacy technician programmes at further and higher education colleges, and in 2020 joined the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education as an Education Supervisor. In this role, she supports pharmacy professionals through tutorials, workshops, and portfolio assessment, as well as contributing to the Community Pharmacy Technician: Advancing Your Role programme. In 2024, Karen was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy for her contributions to teaching and learning in higher education.
