Programme Manager, Pancreatic Cancer Action
When I lost my father to pancreatic cancer in 2010 our experience as a family was typical of so many who lose a loved one to the disease. So, when I found out about Pancreatic Cancer Action back in 2013, I jumped at the chance to volunteer, joining the team a year later. I have an important role, defining and delivering a responsive programme of projects that help us work effectively, efficiently and in line with legislation. I am excited by the opportunity to use quickly evolving digital technologies to help us engage effectively with our supporters and to communicate our awareness message as widely as we can. I lead our IT and digital programme, I oversee our Health Information capabilities and coordinate our Early Diagnosis Challenge Award programme. When I’m not working with the PCA team, I can be seen in my PCA running vest at events around the south east and mountain biking through our beautiful countryside. I’m passionate about preventing families from going through what we had to.
