Lead Pharmacy Technician – Antimicrobial Stewardship & OPAT,

Vikki has worked in the pharmacy field for nearly 20 years. She worked in community pharmacy for nearly 14 years, where she trained as a pharmacy technician. She moved to hospital pharmacy, with University Hospitals of Norht Midlands (UHNM), from 2018, where she trained as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, and became a medicines management pharmacy technician. Her next opportunity was presented in 2022, when she became a lead pharmacy technician for Anti-microbial Stewardship (AMS) and Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT). She has expanded her role since this time, as well as becaming a co-presenter for the AMS pharmacy technician network, where pharmacy technicians from all over the country come together to share knowledge and resources to enhance the role of AMS pharmacy technicians within the NHS.
