Cardiorenal metabolic syndrome encompasses the spectrum of dysfunctions involving the cardiovascular, renal and metabolic systems. These conditions often co-exist which increases morbidity and mortality. Early identification and management are key. Pharmacological agents are used in prevention, delaying disease progression and improving outcomes. Pharmacists have an important role in managing cardiorenal metabolic syndrome through screening, optimisation of medicines and lifestyle counselling.
