Workforce empowerment: enabling teams to work at the top of their licence
Many pharmacy teams have the potential to achieve far more than they currently do, but unlocking that potential requires the right culture, training, and leadership. In this session, Samson Akere will share how Totty Pharmacy has developed a highly engaged, multi-skilled team by creating opportunities for staff to grow in confidence, take ownership, and work at the top of their potential.
Drawing on real-world examples from community pharmacy practice, Samson will explore how investing in workforce development can improve service delivery, increase efficiency, and create capacity for innovation. He will also discuss lessons learned from supporting student placements, upskilling team members, and building a culture where continuous learning is encouraged.
